new curtains

Last week I was doing my very belated 'Spring clean out', and as I was cleaning out the spare room I came across some really cool material that I brought a year or 2 ago to make one of my friends an apron (since she loves aprons) - but I still haven't got around to making that for her..... Well I'll take the credit for it but normally husband is the one that would of ended up doing it. So instead I decided that I would make something out of the material so I got it out and started cutting it up and this is what I have ended up with..... 

This is only one side and the other side is just about complete to be hung up tonight. These will now be our kitchen curtains - nice and bright!

These are our new curtains in the dining room and lounge room. My lovely mother-in-law came and made these ones for me (I'm not that confident yet).

My bargain from the op-shop that I thought wouldn't work anywhere, but they ended up fitting perfect in our bedroom!

And these are Mini Me's curtains - 

One day I need to get around to putting some kind of backing on them.

Holidays

We went on holidays a few months back to Phillip Island, it was so nice.

This was our view from our bedroom - it was the best!

It was so nice but it was freezing cold when we were there!
Will defently go back one day.

Baby!

Oh, I bet I know what you are all thinking at this moment......

THEY ARE HAVING A BABY...... 

But sorry to break the news this isn't the case at the moment.....

We are just sitting here waiting on our sheep to give birth so we can have baby lambs.....

Will keep you posted as to when this will happen!

Dolls

This is a 3 dolls in one....

It is a little bit freaky that there was 3 in one, but Mini Me loves it.....

Mini-Me's Nanny brought this for her as a present when we painted her bedroom.

This was a 21st birthday present for me!

Crazy Things

Well, this week there has been lots of crazy things happening. 

Like my father randomly telling me that they are getting an alpaca, crazy I know....
But why not start a real zoo if your going to have animals I say :)

 

So Mini Me and I went on the journey to pick up 'Caramel', and we also pick up a pregnant sheep called 'Bella' from the same old lady. She was selling her property and didn't want to sell these 2 animals with all her other, she didnt want them to go to the same house because she knew that they wouldn't have a good life - so now we get to watch a sheep give birth (maybe), she is not due til January.... 

Oh I can already feel how hot its going to be that day.....

She is getting shorn tomorrow.

I still do find it very funny that for my 18th birthday my now husband brought me a water filter!

Was a cool present thou, use it everyday!

Oh there is nothing better than the smell of fresh bread cooking - as you can see that had 1 minute until our fresh loaf came out for tea! (I must say it went down very nicely).

Oh I am not too sure why I let the doctor put a band aid on me today when every time I get one I have a reaction..... Weird......

Foxy!

Very sorry I haven't blogged lately, had lots going on around our house.

We have had a very BIG pest hanging around our house lately.... 

Of a night time starting about 9:22pm and hanging out til about 12:30am or so.....

This is our pest!

Yep, you got it right its a fox (can you see him - just in between the barrel and the table), and that stinking thing keeps on hanging around hoping to get all our chookies. He has already taken about 15 of them and now we only have 4 left, oh and we found a 5th one the other day with 6 baby chooks hiding in the neighbors property, running in between all there bushes.

So this morning i went for a drive to pick up this baby!!!

And a chicken to put in there to suck him in!!!!!
